Switchback Books (a nonprofit feminist poetry press) is looking for a volunteer Managing Editor to be 110% committed to Switchback Books, with an average weekly commitment of 8 to 10 hours. Responsibilities include supervising all aspects of operations in coordination with the Editor-in-Chief, composing agendas for and leading staff meetings every three weeks via conference call, updating and sending weekly status sheets, maintaining contact lists and employee manual, and coordinating author contracts. Switchback Books is looking for a web designer to redesign and update our existing website, http://www.switchbackbooks.com. We are looking for someone with experience who is great at programming and designing and can create a cohesive navigational restructure as well as an overall new look. Switchback is a small nonprofit business. Monetary compensation will be based upon negotiated rate.
